Lesley - Manager

'I live in West Buckland with my partner and two daughters. I have always worked with children in preschools and as a classroom assistant. My favourite activity is, well.....the messier the better and I love a good joke.'

Lesley joined us in 2002. She holds an NVQ level 4 in Early years care and education, a first aid certificate and is our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Child Protection Officer. Most important though, is her enthusiasm for this childrens' world, filling it as she does, with confidence and sparkle.

Andrea - Deputy

'I live in Churchstanton with my family. I have a hubby, two girls, a dog and a tortoise who loves visiting preschool. Any spare time I love spending with my family. I also enjoy the outdoors; at preschool I love the walks we take. I love to sing, play instruments and have noisy fun with the children.'

Andrea joined us in 2004. She holds a NVQ level 3 and has her first aid certificate. Everyone loves her....later in the day when we all go to the primary school to pick up our older children, she has a skirt made up of our toddlers greeting her like a long lost friend. She's a ray of sunshine.

The Committee

A committee of parents/carers runs the pre-school, and anyone starting at the pre-school is encouraged to join. We are a non-profit making organisation, and a registered charity. To keep fees to a minimum, we fund raise for equipment and improving facilities for the children. The fees paid go towards wages, running costs and insurance.

We hold an AGM every year, when a voluntary committee is elected from and by parents/carers of the pre-school and toddler group. The committee is responsible for the management of the pre-school and for policy-making decisions. All our policies are available for you to read at any time. Please just ask a member of staff. The daily running of the pre-school is the responsibility of the manager.
